In 2025, I co-founded the North American Sonic Arts Collective alongside composers Kramer Elwell and Jon Fielder. NASAC is a grassroots organization whose mission is to bring a diverse repertoire of historic and contemporary sound artworks to new American audiences and establish a community forum for sound art practitioners that explore, experiment, and collaborate through sound.
From May 28–30, 2026, NASAC presented the inaugural Twin Cities Loudspeaker Orchestra at The Southern Theater in Minneapolis, as a winner of their 2025–2026 "Performance Partnership Program. TCLO was a 4-concert series of contemporary electronic music and sound art presented in a fully-immersive listening environment — a 16.2 loudspeaker array surrounding the audience. Featuring the work of acclaimed (and living!) local and international composers (see programs for Concerts One, Two Three, and Four), TCLO showcased music specifically composed for surround-sound performance. Audience members were drawn into a powerful, spatial listening experience as sound was distributed across a large “orchestra” of loudspeakers placed throughout the theater space, creating sensations of motion, texture, and dramatic auditory storytelling.
